Shaun Brown started The Law Office of Shaun G. Brown, PLLC to focus on helping consumers and small businesses with their legal needs. Shaun was licensed to practice law in 2009 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Eastern, and Western districts of Texas.
He has extensive experience helping business owners with their business formation, contracts, and litigation needs. As the former managing attorney of a civil litigation law firm employing over 50 employees, he also understands what it takes to run a small to midsize business. He has a strong background in negotiating commercial leases and vendor agreements, handling labor and employment matters, assessing risk, and managing regulatory compliance. All of this first-hand experience is the backdrop that enables him to guide clients through the challenges of opening and operating a business.
Mr. Brown spent eight years handling breach of contract and collection litigation cases for major banks and debt buyers before shifting to represent consumers and manage a major consumer defense practice in Houston. This background enables him to effectively represent consumers when confronted with collection efforts and litigation.
Mr. Brown grew up in Friendswood, Texas and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin. While at the University of Texas, he was a member of the University of Texas Silver Spurs responsible for the care and handling of the U.T. mascot, BEVO. He attended law school and received his Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio where he was a staff writer on The Scholar: St. Mary's Law Review on Minority Issues and received honors for his pro bono service to the community. Upon graduating law school, Mr. Brown returned to Houston to begin practicing. Mr. Brown married his beautiful wife Kelly in 2012, and he enjoys spending time with their three children, taking in a Longhorns, Rockets, Astros, or Texans game, and hunting and fishing whenever he gets the chance. The Browns are members of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church and live in West Houston.
